About Jessica

Born in 1980, Jessica grew up in a music loving family, so her passion for it naturally increased with age.  She was involved in church and school musicals as a teenager as well as being a member of several independent local bands.  It wasn’t until her early twenties that she began to write and create her own music.“As a naturally introverted person, I always found it hard to adequately express my thoughts and feelings.  Then I discovered that I was fairly good at writing them down.”The insecure and introverted singer found a deeper and wider niche when her passion for music collided with her passion to share her heart with others.  She explains, “I felt so silent and trapped for so many years wrapped up in fear and insecurity, that when the floodgates were opened, my heart literally poured out life-tears onto paper.  I couldn’t hold my feelings in any more.”  This “sweet release” as she calls it, continues to come and go with the seasons of life.  “And these seasons bring us truths that will hold us together through this life so that we not only survive, but thrive.”  She goes on to say that we all experience the same seasons but at different times.  What Jessica has learned in life has become her song.  Not just a song, an anthem to encourage others that there is hope in the journey of life.
